Consumer Reviews
Just after reviewing many distributors of 50ft rope lighting, this was what I wanted at a good value. The wiring is parallel, so one failed lamp does not black out the downstream lamps. (In fact, it survived one poorly aimed hammer blow with only 1 failed lamp.) The light is incandescent warm, not bothersome bright, but sufficient for accent lighting and navigation. We mounted it up on a trellis, where it is plenty of light for the dining table beneath (but I'd surround all 4 sides of the table). I looked at LCD lighting, but finally decided that it was as well high priced.
These lights had received high evaluations that is why I bought them. They were fairly high-priced, and I expected anything with high quality. We strung two sets around the fencing on our deck. Though they all it up prior to installing them, each sets had segments that "went out" by the time we were finished. We tried jiggling them and rearranging them, to no avail. It is hardly worth the difficulty to take them all down and send them back, but two out of two poor strings doesn't seem like particularly really good odds.
