Can not get replacement bulb June 17, 2011

Nice-looking when turned on. We hired an electrician to install it simply because holes on side of shade did not align with holes on ends of bracket. He did not have any trouble. Glass construction is a little sloppy. White "mortar" among cut glass is chipped and unven in areas, but sconce is mounted high adequate that chips do not show.Key trouble is inability to get replacement bulb! It is the tubular-variety with two pins on the finish. Neighborhood massive box shops do not sell it. Residence Depot has a spiral CFL with pins that fit, but bulb is as well fat for the glass shade. The electrician broke a spiral bulb while trying to insert it. 43rd Street Lighting can get the tubular bulb on line, but bulb expenses $6 and shipping is $15!We also bought matching semi-flush ceiling mount fixture. It is even improved-searching and makes use of common bulbs. Each fixtures look excellent once installed and turned on. Ceiling light is in front entry, and sconce is in hallway to bedrooms.I gave the sconce 3 stars simply because of replacement bulb problem. Otherwise I would give it 4
