We purchased two of these lamps and love them both. One has ideal lines going around it (the black on the shade) and the other has choppier lines going around--you can tell they were probably hand applied, which makes every lamp unique. In a dark room, one lamp will light up the entire area sufficient to read. The only cause I gave this lamp four stars, is simply because the on/off switch is on the cord, which suggests you have to reach behind the night stand to turn it off. Otherwise, outstanding lamp!
(In the technical particulars it says bulb not included, but in the product description, it says it is included. Ours DID come with bulbs included.)

This lamp exceeded my expectations. I wanted anything that would merely appear completely different, and it ended up becoming even more useful than anticipated. There is a bay window in my home exactly where we have place a modest finish table and two accent chairs, and this lamp offers it that location a contemporary look. It essentially brightens up the entire complete area and can even be utilised to read when you are sitting next to it. The light is good and diffused (as talked about by other reviewers). It is set somewhat opposite of my television, but the light does not reflect off the screen and does not distract from the viewing expertise when we are watching motion pictures. It's a beautiful, small piece with a reasonable cost tag.
Pros: Fantastic diffused light, utilizes a standard socket bulb, comes with a bulb (even though the description says that it does not)
Cons: There is only one particular way to replace the bulb, and it is the very same way to assemble the lamp when it arrives (through the top opening). If you have huge hands or chubby fingers... find an individual to assist you. My wife had to assemble it and she will be the 1 who replaces the bulb when it goes out. This is the only cause I took off a star. If I could give it a 4.5 stars, I would!
